Biology-up-to-date: NCL in Class
In April 2005, the NCL-Foundation started the project "Biology-up-to-date: NCL in class." The idea: using the example of the neurodegenerative metabolic disease NCL, explain the basic of genetics to high school students.
The school session, usually a double lesson, is taught by staff of the “Research and Enlightenment” project. Since 2005, we have been able to expose over 45 Hamburg area high schools and around 1500 students to NCL and have received consistently positive reactions.
