To create awareness of rare diseases among the general public, the NCL Foundation already began very early with its "Biology up-to-date" project in schools. Genetics is explained using a rare disease and illustrated with a concrete example. Furthermore, the Foundation aims to reach these multipliers by organising continuing education courses for teachers.
