"NCL Trophy" at the Golf Resort Adendorf
3. June 2007: Golfers bring in 6,500 Euro at the 2nd NCL Trophy
On Sunday 3 June Golf Resort Adendorf near Lunenburg hosted the NCL Golf Trophy for the second time. The approximately 60 golf players, including Dr. Frank Husemann and the television announcer Dr. Martin Wilhelmi, not only displayed their ambitious spirit for sport but also their social commitment. From tombola ticket sales and entry fee income of € 6,500 was generated.
The 18-hole master course required good ability by the golfers since the tournament was a handicap game and the aim was to improve one's handicap. In very moving and sensitive speeches Martin Wilhelmi and Frank Husemann presented the objective of the benefit tournament - to attract donations in order to initiate research into the, until now, deadly illness NCL and into its cure. After presentation of the prizes by the club president Marion groß Osterhues Christa Kubsch, Managing Director of the jewelry business WEMPE at Hamburger Jungfernstieg, span the wheel of fortune and thus determined the winners of the tombola.
100% of the income generated on that day goes to the NCL Foundation and thus to research of seldom illnesses Neuronale Ceroid Lipofuszinose (abbreviated NCL).
The NCL Foundation expresses its sincere thanks to all participants, the volunteers from Rotaract Lunenburg and the sponsors, in particular Golf Resort Adendorf, WEMPE, the Hamburg Marriott Hotel, AGON Activ Golf Network, the Lunenburg Schokoladenmanufaktur and all those who contributed to the NCL Golf Trophy being held.
