Top-class cooks donated € 8,000.00 for the NCL Foundation
All guests in the restaurants of the star chefs Cornelia Poletto, Anna Sgroi, Heinz Wehmann (Landhaus Scherrer) or Michael Röhm (Zum Heidkrug, Lüneburg) also supported the research activities into the rare, fatal metabolic disease NCL.
The 12 restaurants taking part in the April group including those above and additionally the restaurants Insel am Alsterufer (Außenalster), Artisan / Bude1 (Schanzenviertel), Randel and Del (Wellingsbüttel), Schauermann (St. Pauli), Dante (Großhansdorf), the Weiße Haus and the Fürst Bismarckmühle, donated € 5.00 of each specific dish to the NCL Foundation and thus forewent their own sales.
All together 12 restaurants generated € 8,000.00 for the NCL Foundation. As part of this, the Wellingsbüttler restaurateur Stephan Randel, who donated € 2,500.00 in total from his high earning restaurants Randel and Del, took first place in total donations; he received the "Golden Wooden Spoon" from the NCL Foundation. The chefs in the April group handed over the prize or rather the "the spoon" to the restaurants remaining until now from the June group, the Oberhafenkantine by Christa and Tim Mälzer and San Lorenzo (Glinde) owned by the Dellavecchia family.
