The NCL Foundation relies on established scientists who find the NCL topic worth supporting and can acquire their own funding for research in this area.

 

Due to the initiative of the Foundation Prof. Baumeister (University of Freiburg) is now participating with his own independent research topic in the European research project APOPIS (Abnormal Proteins in the Pathogenesis of Neurodegenerative Disorders).This project comprises a total of 39 different European research institutes. The main focus of this collaboration is the analysis of abnormal proteins that contribute to the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases.
